They are fused and always have been, with the technological enterprise being at the same time an essentially religious endeavour. “In BRUTAL BANAL fashion, Eike König, like Frogger’s digital frog, moves along the

much-travelled road of post-industrial revolution, to arrive unscathed on the other side, not knowing what awaits him there. Isn’t that a good metaphor for life itself? Every now and then he is run over, gets up again and starts running again to cross another road full of rapidly moving technological objects whose actual programming is purely to move in the direction of the future, but every now and then also causes a life-threatening collision. How can one escape this? By ignoring ‘insert coin to continue’.
