As part of the new exhibition concept FUTURE LAB, the Heitsch Gallery presents its first virtual exhibition on JIM AVIGNON. This is a preview of the works of the versatile painter, musician and
(Performance) artist known for his trendy, cartoon-style images. His large areas of acrylic paint, mostly on paper and with clear, black outlines, are modern-day moral paintings and have already been seen on the Berlin Wall. Again and again he questions global capitalism, but always with a touch of irony. In the production of his works, too, he criticizes the contemporary art market, uses cheap material or sometimes shreds his own pictures in order to then give away relics to documenta visitors.

On November 20th, 2020 Jim Avignon comes to Munich for his solo exhibition at the Heitsch Gallery!
